Not many people know the whole story of Laura and I we were married when we were young 19 and 20 years old. our marriage started off far away from God even though we had the look of being a couple on fire for God. its easy to fool people in this day and age because everyone is so busy to notice. We faked it real well now I know some people who read this will be like oh he is just making it up the fact of the matter is that Laura and I were never really shy about our short comings in our walk with God she told people and I told people. We each had our flaws and differences in marriage. I won’t speak for her’s because she isn’t here any more to talk about it but I can speak for mine. This is going to be a blog about my walk from unsaved unfaithful husband to saved and faithful. It was a long hard road but God molded me to make me see my wife as he saw her and to love he with the same selflessness that Christ loved the Church. Laura passed away on November 14, 2022 after a long hard battle with kidney failure and other sicknesses she suffered a lot of pain and difficulties from a leg amputation and an arm amputation. She never complained and whined unless the pain was overwhelming. The one thing I can say is that she never lost faith in God even though she suffered she did so knowing God would be glorified by her suffering. Even though we prayed for her to be healed in this earthly realm God had other plans and healed her fully when she woke in heaven. I can only imagine the joy on her face as she ran to Jesus with both legs and hugged him with both arms. What a site would that have been to be able to witness that. That day was glorious for her but it was a dark horror for me the loss of myself and the change of not having my partner, my ride or die as the young hip people say. Once again God had other plans. This first post is just me getting my feet wet and taking the first step in telling my story.
